From your PDF to a gift you can hold
Your gift arrives as a digital file. You choose the paper, the printer and how to present it. This guide helps you use the supplied PDF without cropping the portrait or sharing your private download link.
Start with the downloaded PDF
Download the finished files from your private order page. Use the PDF rather than a screenshot of the preview. The portrait is supplied in four sizes — A4, A3, Letter and Tabloid — so choose the file that matches your paper. If your package includes the booklet, it is a separate PDF of 4 to 6 pages, downloaded from the same page.
Choose a size your printer supports
Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and Tabloid (11 × 17 in) are familiar choices. Check the paper tray and printable area before buying paper. A larger format may need a print shop; printing and framing are separate costs and are not sold by A Day to Keep.
Check scale, margins and color
Open the PDF in a reader and check the print preview. Start with actual size on matching paper. If your printer cannot reach the edges, fit the full page within its printable area; do not crop the design. Print a test sheet and check every name and line of the dedication.
Using a print shop
Give the shop the downloaded PDF and tell them the paper size you want. Do not give them your order access link or credentials. Ask to see a proof and confirm their paper and finish options before placing a separate print order.
Giving the digital version
You can keep the gift digital. The premium package also includes a gift page with a link and QR code; sharing starts off and can be activated or revoked from your private order page. Anyone who has an active gift link can view the gift.
Questions before you choose
Do I need to convert the PDF to an image?
No. Start with the supplied PDF. If a printer asks for another format, check their requirements before converting; a screenshot is not a replacement for the original file.
Is a frame included?
No. The purchase includes digital files. Paper, printing and framing are your choice and are paid for separately if you use them.
Can I print larger than the supplied formats?
The supported exports are A4, A3, Letter and Tabloid. We do not promise the result at larger sizes; ask your printer to check a proof before ordering.
